My interest in photography began when I was in high school. At age 17, I visited Rocky Mountain National Park for the first time and immediately fell in love with mountains. Later in life, with the wife and two children we visited there annually for many years. Our travels thereafter visited almost all of the national parks in the the western United States plus one each in Maine and Alaska. At home in Madison Wisconsin and the surrounding areas, including in my later life, state parks and nature conservancies. became the focus of my photography. I find flickr a great way to share my photos and to enjoy and learn from the great photos of others.
