I always try to travel with a camera - although often a compact or a rangefinder.

Like many photographers I enjoy using different equipment, but I also believe in simplicity. Many of the pictures I like best are those taken with a single prime lens with the benefit of time and thought. I take great pleasure in wandering the streets with a camera and a 35 or 50mm lens enjoying the simple pleasure of searching out pictures.

Favourite camera is the Leica R6.2 with a 60mm macro lens or an M6 / M8 and I tend to use these for personal work.

Otherwise I shoot with Canon DSLRs - the EOS D1s mk 2 or the 5D with a variety of L lenses or with Leica lenses and an adaptor.

I shoot either film or digital depending on the situation.
