After a very active career of over 42 years in Cytopathology (cancer diagnosis on a cellular level), that included teaching, medical microphotography, publishing many textbooks, I'm finally able to return to my love of nature. As a hobby, I've been photographing wildlife for over 30 years and since retirement, have been able to spend a lot of time in the field. The Osprey has become my favorite bird to observe and study. I've learned so much about this wonderful bird - especially their post-fledging habits by my own detailed observations. I couldn't find much existing information about this phase of their development, so I did a very successful extensive investigation on my own and of course have many wonderful photos/field notes that document their daily life habits. I must admit that I shed several tears the last day I realized the last kid left home for good!
