Ursa has been a remarkable Friend on Flickr for me and I felt I needed to put it in words in a Testimonial. Ursa lives her Art... she has put her Art into her daily life. She has been formerly educated in the Arts and Photography. She is an accomplished videographer, too. I think Ursa sees the world through her Art and I very much appreciate that point of view. She is an inspiration for those of us with a little less dedication. You only have to view her Photostream and it becomes instantly obvious that Ursa has great talent. Like many artists, Ursa is deeply rooted in her native country, Slovenia. An incredibly beautiful area that she captures so very well in her photography. Ursa also has a strong drive to capture the natural world and is a fine nature photographer.... from flowers to trees to animals to natural environments and to her amazing Golden Retriever, Luna. Her photographs are consistently excellent, always thoughtful, creative, and unique. Pretty much my personal definition of an "Artist." Ursa remains one of the primary reasons I keep hanging around Flickr... this is what Flickr is all about for me. The opportunity to meet and learn from other serious photographers from different parts of the world. That global aspect is critical in my opinion. I enjoy people from other cultures and their ability to see your images from another world view. I find that a learning experience. I live in Alaska and some of the best comments I've had are from people who live where there is no snow and no frigid weather. Speaking of comments, Ursa is part of a relatively small group of Flickr members who take that little bit of extra time to leave a meaningful comment. Not a two-word comment. While I appreciate all comments I get, I have to admit that the kind of comments that Ursa writes are more interesting and more rewarding. I very much appreciate Ursa's willingness to put in a little extra effort to make that connection more interesting for both people.
