Crossdressing, or femulating, is, for me, the ultimate means of self-expression. Nothing is more exhilirating, satisfying, and fulfilling. It is also quite challenging, but I am enjoying the progress I have made thus far while trying to make further improvements.
Like many others, I had my first exposure at around age 11 followed by some "sneaking around and borrowing a few things". College, military service, and a divorce-ending marriage kept me from doing "what I thought I wanted to do". Then I went through periods of experimenting, buying, denying, purging, questioning, etc. All very time-consuming.
Now, I have come to terms with who I am and enthusiastically accept it. My wardrobe is constantly expanding, my feminine appearance is improving , and life is much more exciting. Much of the time, I still have some male-appearing obligations to fulfill, but my heart is in my feminine role. I am heterosexual and totally admire anyone and anything feminine. I'm not "into" porn and find images of men "dressed" in an unfeminine manner as disgusting.
The male part of me lingers on, but plays a lessening role. I keep him around for the finances, doing household maintenance, and (giggle) taking out the trash. But I know he too benefits from my increased attention to hair, nail and skin care. I say "please" and "thank you" more than before, am much more aware of social activities around me, and am
very interested in the appearance of others, especially women. I am smiling in most of my pictures. Women always smile more than men - and besides, wouldn't you smile if you were doing something that you love to do?
Sadly, opportunities for getting out are limited to 3 - 4 times a year. But, at home, you will find Kerri present as often as that other person. I welcome any suggestions, questions, and opportunities as you might want to offer. I joined Flickr to have some exposure, be around like-minded people, to learn, and to have some friends.
