I have been creating cakes for a few years now. When my kids were small, I made them basic cakes and character cakes from Wilton books. This was the extent of my skill. Until mother's day 2005, my daughter bought me a cake decorating kit. I was like a little kid at Christmas. I was sooo excited.

I worked 2 jobs for 4 years and finally quit the night job and now had time to take the cake decorating courses I have been itching to take. I took them all and started creating cakes for family and friends and now I create for others as well. I love creating different cakes. I love watching cake challenges on the Food Network and of course Ace of Cakes, these shows give you ideas as well as checking out the technique used.

When I deliver a cake, my motto is "if this cake puts a smile on someones face, I have done my job and that's why I do what I do" It's really all worth it isn't it!
