I have always had a love for picture taking. When my nephew was born 9 years ago I couldn't put my camera (a little point and shoot) down. I finally took a Basic Photography class at a local community college after asking my dad how he captured a low light photo of my nephew with no flash. When he responded with something about the aperture setting I said "say wha?"

Even though I took a class and purchased an N65 immediately after, I rarely took if off automatic.

When my first son was born just a little over 3 years ago, I went back to a point and shoot - digital of course! I tooks THOUSANDS of pictures and emailed them to everyone I knew. I made a point to capture at least one photo each week of his first year. Many of my friends and co-workers kept telling me I needed to quit my job and start a photography business. I never had the *guts* to just quit.

i was however aided in this venture when I was downsized in the Fall of 2007 (after 12.5 years with the same company). One of the first things I did was to purchase a digital SLR (D80). I also began *blog & web stalking* other photography sites. I have been so moved and inspired by all of the images seen by the professionals out there that I decided this would be my next career move.

I have had a lot to learn technically, but the digital world makes it a little easier. I have so much more to learn and am so excited at this new venture in my life.

I actually started a photography business shortly after I was downsized. Less than a year later I learned I was pregnant with our third. I then decided to take time away from making a business and just enjoy taking photos of my kids.

On the personal side, I have a wonderful husband, and three children under 4 (two boys and a girl.)

Looking forward to meeting you out there!
