I am a biostratigrapher who looks at pollen, spores, and dinoflagellate cysts in the rock record. My love of palynology is deeply rooted in my love of all things natural and fossilized. I have a PhD in geology and am currently working in the oil and gas industry.
On my free time I should be trying to publish papers, but instead I have been taking the time and explore all things crafty. I have been a knitter for several years (thanks to my short stay in Madison, WI for my master's degree), but finally decided to follow my mother's passion and learn how to quilt. I am a fresh, green newbie in the quilting (3 months) and sewing (1 year) world, but am following in love with fabrics and patterns.
