I am a retired local government officer having worked in social housing throughout my career. During my full time employment I worked exclusively for local authorities but the last five years of my professional life was spent providing consultancy services to both local authorities and housing associations.

I have always had an interest in photography and bought my first SLR camera at the age of 18. Work and family life didn't leave much time to indulge heavily in my hobby until retirement beckoned. Since then it's been my main leisure pastime. I'm interested in all aspects of photography but bird, wildlife and macro are my favourite subjects.
