yo. i first put a tag on a wall in '84. carried on despite no scene in the little old corner of Brum known as Northfield and got as far as taking loads of flicks and doing a few awful chromes before giving up in the early 90's when it all seemed to start dying on it's arse.

i carried on collecting mags and flicks, sticking with the old school as much as possible. it's always hard to shake your first love.

April 2008 i hooked up with a writer and new good buddy in Cardiff and dropped my first piece in nearly 20 years and then carried on from where i left off. save on a legal tip, the old knees are probably not up to any more fat leggers.

towards the end of 2008, i searched 'old school brum graf' on flickr and came across dfase, mef and kem - all old B'ham/Midlands legends. i started posting up flicks and it became obvious i'd got a bit of a Brummie treasure trove and some lost classics in my stash.

i've had a lot of people drop by who have been nothing short of heroes in my life, and it's been a very exciting adventure. fate hooked me up with Mef and Kem when they ended up in Cardiff painting not 5 mins from my flat, and a great afternoon was had flicking through my flicks and sharing stories in the late Autumn sunshine.

it's good times for graf at the moment thanks largely to Flickr, as the old heads and first waivers resurface and new jams are held every week. the quality of art is better than ever with old school flavours hitting new school styles and my love for this shizzle is stronger than ever.

respect to you all.

peace.
