I have been interested in photography off and on for many years and just recently got a Canon XSi after a fairly long hiatus from shooting much of anything with my film Rebel. I usually prefer to shoot landscapes, but when I got this camera I tested it in the backyard so have a new appreciation for close-ups and macro.

This is my first digital camera and I'm learning to post process with DPP - it's wonderful to finally be able to create what my mind sees rather than what the lab sees!

I'm also into jewelry making (mostly natural stone), quilting and gardening.
