I'm a professional amateur.

Have been fascinated by cameras and photography since my dad let me go through my grandpa's old camera collection.

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic (ya know, with the disposable flash cubes and the 126 size film!).

I love the smell of film, and can't stand the smell of fixer. I worked as a darkroom tech in high school, and totally loved it. After that job (and not because of it) I decided to keep photography as my art and pursue engineering as my career.

Total obsession at the moment with understanding lighting. Epic thanks to David Hobby, Zack Arias, Chase Jarvis, and all those other photogs that share their craft.

Have a minor thing about trying to find studio space around town. The spare bedroom / garage thing is kind of limiting things.
