In our first 100 years of service to the nation, the Spartan Brigade of the Marne Division has been tested in the crucible of ground combat. From our birth on the French battlefields of World War I to the “Thunder Run” that liberated the people of Iraq, Spartans have been guardians of freedom throughout the world. We have and will continue to operate in a complex world. Dynamic political and military behaviors across the globe force adjustment to the menu of options combatant commanders need to prevent, shape, and win against determined adversaries. To gain a competitive advantage the Army designated the Spartans to become the 15th armored brigade combat team. As the Army’s most lethal and fit ABCT we will fight and destroy the nation’s adversaries with overwhelming combat power. Spartan Soldiers and Leaders are the most decisive element of our combat power. We are a dependable, adaptable, and results-based organization. We will earn and maintain the trust of each other and those we serve while staying disciplined in our warrior tasks and drills. The character and resolve established today and tomorrow will define the next century of Spartan history. When America beckons, “whom shall we send?” A Spartan will respond, “Send Me!”
