I'm 27 years old and I live in the Black Country. I married my wonderful husband, Wayne, in September 2007 which was a long time coming as we had been together for more than 7 years. I have always enjoyed taking photographs, even at school, I was always the one who took my camera in on the last day of term to snap up pictures of my classmates (which most of them now regret as I have posted them on Facebook, LOL!)

I guess my interest in photography has always been there, but going on my honeymoon in 2007 really "awakened" my interest. We went to New York and New England, which was amazing and I got a little snap happy!! There are just so many amazing buildings and sights to behold and I was kind of in awe if I'm honest. The camera we took wasn't that great, so in October 08 I got a Nikon D60. I'm still learning how to use it and I'm mostly using it on the auto setting at the moment but I'm enjoying my new hobby, which is the main thing. I like just going out for the day, or just for a walk and taking the camera with me.

Photography aside, which is a relatively new hobby, I enjoy going for walks, listening to music, relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine! I love going to live gigs, going to the cinema - I'm a bit of a movie geek to be fair.

I would love to get into photography more, which is why I have joined flickr! (Thanks Heather!) I just love the idea that when you take a photograph, that split second of time is captured forever.
