I've always been interested in photography, but mostly in a passive manner. My husband and son are excellent photographers and I wanted to see what was so fascinating about it. I acquired a Canon Powershot SX 10 IS about 2 years ago and liked it very much. It never occurred to me that I would ever outgrow it, but I started to find some limitations that were costing me good shots, so we started looking around. After lengthy research, I got a Panasonic GH2 for Christmas and it is causing me the same panic as the former one did. It is a wonderful camera and can do amazing things, but I haven't discovered them yet. I am particularly interested in taking pictures of my home and garden. My hobbies are (or where) sewing, quilting and knitting, but arthritis in my hands has made me look elsewhere, thus the photography. I very much enjoy the friends I have made on Flickr and almost always comment on posts my contacts have made and will always look in the photo streams of those who comment on my posts. This often result in new contacts.
