Habitar was established by Stratagem Home Builders. Mitchell Newman, the company’s owner, is a second generation real estate developer. His father, who started the business in 1962, was widely known for his quality construction and dependable service.

Under Mitchell’s guidance, Stratagem Home Builders distinguished itself with efficient floor plans, unique custom built-ins and architectural features creating a demand from real estate agents, builders and buyers for those services. This with the impetus for Habitar Design.

Habitar takes on projects any size, nationwide. We’ve redesigned a bathroom in Detroit and an entire townhouse project in Tampa. Our expertise in construction, construction materials, the latest building technologies, and home furnishings has made us consultants to builders, other designers, real estate agents, trades people and home buyers. Our experience helps keeps cost down and missteps to a minimum.
