I studied photography at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, and Middle East studies at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.

In my photography I'm basically focused on prejudice: one automatically puts labels on what one sees, instead of trying to get into what one really sees. In other words: you never see what you really see.
