There is an older country song written by Allen Shamblin and Steve Seskin and made famous by John Michael Montgomery called Life's A Dance. It says

"Life's a dance you learn as you go, sometimes you lead and sometimes you follow, don't worry about what you don't know, life's a dance you learn as you go."

This has been my life song. Some people would call me stubborn, pig-headed, and cantankerous, but I see it as me being me. I do listen to people's advice, but often have to experience it for myself.

 

Photography has been one of those things for me. I have been interested for most of my life, but I had no idea how to do any of it (and still am very novice). Fear of failure looms, but, sometimes we have to take a plunge into the unknown to have anything at all. It could be loss, but it could be gain and if we never step out we will never know.
