Although I dabbled in photography in the early '80s I haven't touched a real camera in over twenty years. So now I find myself with a spanking new camera. I guess I'll give this photography thing another go. Now I just have to find myself stuff to photograph and some sort of style to adopt.

A bit about me:

Ian 'Beery' Cooper - Adventurer, Philosopher, Anarchist, Artist, Philanthropist, Erudite Autodidact. Sometime sidewalk artist, draughtsman, Certified Picture Framer. I've sold more paintings than van Gogh ever did in his lifetime.

Born and raised in Sheffield, England.

Claims to fame:

Bicycled 10,000 miles throughout Europe, 1984-85.

Cycled over the Pindos and Pyrenees mountain ranges.

Shot at by Spanish right-wing shotgun-wielding crazies in December 1984.

Travelled with Simon Murphy, the 'Kiwi Living Legend' 1986-89.

Worked at Salzburg's International Youth Hotel 1986-89.

Experienced Hurricanes Iniki and Georges.

Saved Billy Crystal's life.

Experienced the Northridge-Santa Monica earthquake.

Foiled looters during the L.A. 'Rodney King' riots.

Since Hurricane Georges, I've lived a relatively quiet life in Massachusetts, where I (rarely) work as a picture framer, (occasionally) paint and (often) make large-scale historical and realism mods for computer games like Chessmaster 11, Red Baron 2 and Silent Hunter III and IV.
