As well as my own photos, I've been scanning and sharing out-of-copyright artwork and photos from 19th Century/early 20th Century books.

I use Canon DSLR gear, but also carry a compact camera "just in case". Photos are uploaded at the same size & resolution as they are on my hard drive.
