Hi all

As you have probably already guessed I love anything to do with wildlife and the environment. I really like walking and cycling, mainly to try and spot animals in their natural environment! I love the Peak district and the Lake district. I also enjoy visiting nature reserves. One of my favourites is the Farne Islands. I think the UK is a beautiful country and can be underrated by some.

I have lots of pets (also clear if you look at my photos)! including two beautiful rescue cats who were living feral; rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies and a gerbil! only the cats seem to enjoy posing for photos!

Over the last couple years I have become increasingly interested in photography and art and love vivid colours, texture and the play of light. I got my first digital SLR in April 09. I am gradually finding my way around the camera and am starting to understand how to get the best out of it. I still have so much to learn though so I would welcome any subtle suggestions for improvements.
