Born and raised in southern Indiana. B.S. in chemistry from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Terre Haute, Indiana). PhD in biochemisrtry from Ohio State (Columbus, Ohio). On faculty of University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, AR)since 1979. Married with two grown children. Currently (Oct, 2011) 62 years old.

Got back into photography in 2008 - hadn't picked up a camera or taken a photo since high school days. Wife said as I was goning to be retiring in a few years I needed a hobby so I wouldn't end up sitting around the house all the time. I remebered that I used to enjoy taking pictures in high school and thought I'd give it a try again. Needless to say, I was quiickly hooked.

Enjoy shooting a wide variety of topics but especially nature, outdoors, flowers, and wildlife. Favorite places to shoot include Buffalo River valley in northern Arkansas, southern Indiana (although I don't spend much tie there anymore), and the Rocky Mountains.
