I am an urban landscape photographer specialising in our industrial legacy. I began in the early 1970s as the imapact of de-industrialisation on the landscape started to become very evident and have been pursduing this theme ever since. Although based in the UK, I have photographed urban and post-industrial landscapes across Europe and in several other parts of the world.
My largest single body of work was undertaken on the Isle of Dogs in the early 1980s before the area was transformed by the advent of Canary Wharf. A book of these photographs, called 'The Isle of Dogs Before the Big Money', was published by Hoxton Mini Press in 2018. A collection of 1,600 of these photographs is held by Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archive.
