I have been fortunate to have supportive friends during my time on Flickr. I am an amateur photographer using this as a creative outlet from my profession in the medical field. Macro photography is the niche i have found comfort in as a beginning photographer. My creativity blossomed when a friend (Bitoy) encouraged me to purchase a 105VR macro lens. He was right in guiding me toward smaller subjects and experimentation with depth of field. Since I sometimes find images which are fully focused, garden magazine type shots not necessarily within my interest....I feel sure some may conversely feel the same about my images showing shallow DoF. Such is the subjective nature of art.
The time I spend on Flickr is for fun only. I will stop if the fun ends.
I welcome your comments and criticisms if they are constructive...since I strive to improve my work this can only be helpful.
If you have hundreds and hundreds of contacts it may prove difficult to be an attentive contact for me. I currently find that a couple of hundred contacts are the most i can offer reciprocal attention.
If you don't post or comment regularly you may be removed as a contact. If you let me know whats up I will gladly wait for you to return.
If you post more than 1 image at a time please let me know and I will make an effort to look more closely at your stream.
Overall, the most important thing to me is an acknowledgment....I don't need a critique on each image....feel free to just say hi if nothing else!
