I'm retired and living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, USA. I like to be outdoors as much as possible - hiking, canoeing, biking, skiing and especially watching and photographing birds. My wife and I started birding when we moved to Colorado in 2004 and now most of our trips to visit family and friends include some birding component. We now take trips specifically for birding all over the US and to several other countries.

I'm currently (since spring 2018) shooting primarily with a Sony RX10iv which replaced my Panasonic Lumix FZ300 and my Leica V-Lux4. I also do some digiscoping using a Zeiss Diascope FL 85 and a PhoneSkope attachment for my Google Pixel 7 phone.
