A life-long artist, Pam Carriker was raised in the Pacific Northwest. Married to a pilot with a passion for writing and mother of three boys, two serving our country, one while in college, and the youngest still tucked safely under her wing, she draws inspiration from her daily life. A firm believer in being creative every day, she puts into practice the principles she writes about.

Largely self-taught, her work is reflective of more than 20 years. She has served on several Design Teams, and her work and writing has been featured in numerous art publications including Cloth Paper Scissors, Somerset Studios, Somerset Art Journaling, Somerset Apprentice, The Stampers Sampler, Somerset Holidays and Celebrations, and Somerset Workshop. February 2011 will see the publication of her first book, Art at the Speed of Life: Motivation and Inspiration for Creating Mixed-Media Art Every Day. She currently teaches a successful online workshop series through Creative Workshops and has expanded her teaching to include live workshops as well.
