At the tender age of ten, this Brooklyn native JAY A originally from Guyana was already spittin' and writtin' rhymes Jay A began doing music in church where he played drums, sang in the church choir, and also played keyboards. He then began to produce music. Later he teamed up with Nexx Lev and built their own recording studio. To date he has recorded over 300 songs. Jay A has been heavily influenced by rap icon Tupac because as Jay A says in his own words, “ he made music that was real and always had something meaning full to give.”
