I have been professional photographer since 1978, and I know what I like and how to achieve it. I photograph for myself and if you like what it is, that I do, I Thank You.
After 20+ years doing mostly commercial work I decided that my golden years,(can still see) that I would photograph the little things we all see everyday.

The first 1400 images are analog and the b+w images were processed and printed in a wet darkroom, by me. 35mm, medium and large format cameras were used.
The rest of my images were shot digitally on Fugi FinePixS1Pro, Nikon D70 or D200, D300 cameras.

One of the reasons I bought my first film camera was because of seeing this man's stuff. His photos both on film and digital have always a sense of depth and perspective and harmony that attarcts me, but his film stuff just rocks!
I've had the extreme pleasure of following Crick3's work for well over a year now, and I have to say that he has never failed to WOW me with his landscapes. When evaluating my own work in this area, Crick3 is the rule of measure. I just don't think they get any better than this, be it color or black & white.

As I have look through Crick's photostream, I started to think presentation is important as much as taking good photos. You can clearly see what seperates the art from ordinary photos. Photos look like paintings and like a painter, Crick's goal is to present the view in its best. I learnt so much from him that photography is to reach a perception beyond our daily perception. Crick's photostream is "cinematic". There are shots that you could only see in a movie. So as to painting, photography comes close to an another field of art. Crick's photostream is like a visual diary. You'll wonder if you would feel and reflect it the same way if you were in the places where Crick has been.
