Wandering teacher with a camera!
I studied History and Archaeology at university as a mature age student, and got a job teaching English in Korea. I've been doing that since January 2002.
I bought a 35mm point-and-shoot in my first year in Korea and used that for 2 1/2 years before buying a Samsung consumer digital to see if I could take some real good photos. I did, so I bought a Canon EOS 300v (also called Rebel Ti or Kiss Lite, depending on which country you buy it in) to take even more photos!! Haha. Then of course I had to buy another lens, and then another, and Oh! I'll buy those filters while I'm here, and that......
Pretty much self-taught, with only a few bits of advice from a friend (thanks Dave!)
People are my favourite subject, but I also have this thing for bicycles, and I seem to do ok with urban stuff as well.

Equipment Updates:
Sold my trusty old Canon EOS 350D, it gave me 6 years of sterling service, but it had to go to help off-set other purchases.
I lost a screw for my cheap tripod while travelling in Western China and had to buy a cheap replacement, fortunately it was fairly easy to find on in Dunhuang, Gansu Province.
Sold my Canon EF 70-200 1:4L USM and bought a Canon EF 70-200 1:2.8 USM (non-IS)
Sold my Sigma 70-300 to a beginner friend (cheap, not going to rip them off) and she is going great guns with it!
Any comments, positive or negative, are more than welcome!
