My name is Phil and I live in Arnold in Nottingham.

I'm a keen amateur photographer and you'll find me wandering around the streets with my camera most weekends , usually in the city. I haven't been taking photos that long - not seriously anyway - so I'm still making mistakes, but I'm getting better all the time. At the moment every time I go out I feel like I know as much as I did the week before. But every time I come back with at least one or two good photos and that keeps me going. I have a medium term ambition to start making some money in stock photography eventually so I'm currently saving up to buy some pro gear for that.

Comments, constructive criticism and advice is always welcome - especially from people I don't know - they are the most honest and un-biased.

I am employed full time in the IT industry (Senior System Administrator for a big local manufacturer - SAP, Oracle, HP-UX, Windows etc etc).

My main contributing group is Nottingham, UK.

I prefer to use Nikon kit.
