I live in Christchurch, Canterbury ( New Zealand). My focus is Canterbury and the South Island. Marine and freshwater topics are a strong focus. I also work to promote environmental awareness. I have worked as a fly-fishing guide, fisheries observer and commercial fisherman. In recent years ( since 2008)I have worked on research for the Department of Conservation and the private sector on endangered bird species. Since 1990 I have worked as a professional outdoor writer and photographer- Wild Capture.
