I bought my 1958 brick ranch in the fall of 2005 (just at the end of the housing boom). I had been looking for a house for 6 months. When I saw this one, I just felt that I had found "my" home (I stood at the curb and smiled). The house has been a lot of work to bring back to its former glory, but the results have been gratifying. Fortunately not much was done to the house over its 50 year history - save a bar added to the basement in the early 70's (orange bar stools intact!) My intent is to keep as much of the original character of the house as possible, but also bring it into the 21st century with some new, working/efficient windows and lighting, as well as new flooring in the baths and kitchen, while refinishing the wood floors in the other rooms. Enjoy the pics of my "retro-renovation"!
