About me:

Jake Nielsen’s passion for drawing can be traced to his earliest childhood where he experimented with crayons on his mother’s walls and furniture. He still draws on walls today, but he specializes in portraits. “I was always told if you could master the human face and capture its emotion then drawing anything else would be easier.” Jacob was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado where he began his art studies. In 2002 he moved to Florida where he maintained his thirst for creativity and learned more about computer art, and photo restoration. Knowing his roots were within “Colorful Colorado", he moved back and began formal education in web and graphic design. During the summer of 2008, Jake joined a local photography group and quickly discovered the advantage of incorporating a digital camera in his collection of medium. “Photography was always something that I could identify with, but lacked the experience of professional photographers. I love the concept of capturing a photo knowing that I can create endless possibilities.” In addition to photography; he brings considerable talent to capturing the character of artwork within beautifully staged environments. “The completion of a work of art does not come when the brush strokes are done, or when the shutter is released and a print is developed, but when each creation is enveloped and displayed in a way that creates a stronger bond between the artwork and viewer.”
