Hi,

I am a teacher and live in NJ. I have loved animals all my life. Most of my pictures are of animals, either pets, animals in nature or at the zoo. I am fortunate enough to have lived along water all my life. At my first home, I saw ducks, geese and swans. Along with them, we lived with the normal wild animals: squirrels, raccoons, opossums, birds and skunks. I grew up with cats. At some point (in my twenties), I was dogsitting for a friend of my brothers, this was when I 'inherited' Bear, my first dog. Since then I have had and love dogs.

From 2000 to 2009, I lived on a 21 acre piece of property where I have been blessed to live with turkeys, deer and other wildlife. We moved to another location where we do have deer and turkeys, but they are very skittish. Unfortunately, there is hunting in the area, so before I can get a photo, they run. I am hoping that eventually they will accept me and my camera (I am feeding them). Only time will tell.
