I've been involved in photography for a long while. Can't imagine life without it, frankly. While I've had a few artistic outlets in my life, this one satisfies me the most.

I have a selection of equipment, from film (35mm, MF, and LF), where I started, to digital that I've accumulated over the years. I'm not a film versus digital activist, but rather believe in using the right tool for the purpose at hand.

That said, I've found myself doing film almost exclusively the last few years. Back to basics, so to speak. It brings me an immense amount of achievement experiencing the anticipation from click to develop, knowing the result is totally up to me, that each exposure is not done for me by the camera.

I do all my own development, which adds to the great satisfaction I get from the whole experience.

Robert takes the beautiful, wonderful photos that you wish you could. You know, he is the guy that once you click on his stream, you suddenly realize that it is an hour later and you have just missed the appt you made to donate a kidney so that your brother wouldn't die. Now you don't have a brother anymore, and it's all Robert's fault. Don't ever visit Robert's photo stream. Unless you like having dead family members cause you were looking at his lovely, hauntingly beautiful images. Seriously though. he does great stuff with a camera. I envy his vision behind the lens and knowledge of how to get there. I hope one day to be 1/10th the photographer he is. Take a look, I dare you.
