3rd generation camera buff. My grandfather owned a camera store. My father worked there and managed a few other cameras stores as well. He became an industrial photographer and also fixed cameras at our house. We always had the newspaper photographers coming over dropping off and picking up their cameras. My father photographed a few weddings but mostly for friends.

As a youth, I shot a Kodak Instamatic 100. I also made a few pinhole cameras with 126 film cartridges.

My first SLR was a Pentax MX which I bought in 1983. I then bought a Pentax SuperProgram and still have it. When film cameras started showing up at thrift stores for cheap I started buying them. I guess that I have around 300 cameras, only a few of which are of any value. I use a lot of my SLR lenses on my Sony NEX-5N.
