About the photographer

 

Photography is a hobby. For years I was a purist. Believing that a picture should be exactly what the eye saw, that post-processing was betraying the real image.

 

I now believe that like any art form, photography is very subjective. Just like film developers could change the temperature of the chemicals, expose the film to light etc to achieve a certain "look" Post-Processing is the Digital Dark Room and we are only limited by our imagination. HDR photography is one of my favorite forms, and I believe there is no right or wrong way to use HDR. You can use it as a tool, to reveal a higher dynamic range than would normally be possible or you can use it as an effect to create surreal landscapes.

Although I prefer Macintosh there are some tools that are only available for PC. In those cases I have no other choice but to use PC.
