About the artist:

Ms. Vasantha Kumari Mukthavaram has been inspired by the dried leaves strewn around the courtyard around her home and started collecting the same to create works of art. Over years, she has gradually progressed and created a few hundreds of pieces of art. Her work includes images of people, landscapes and collages. So far, she has exhibited her work at both here in the United States and her native country of India. An exhibition of her art was held at Schaumburg Township District Library in Streamwood, IL in June 2005. She also participated in World Wide Pressed Flower Guild in 2007, 2008. She was also invited to present her art at TANA (Telugu Association of North America) conference in 2009. She received critical acclaim by numerous periodicals in her native country and artists in USA. She frequently visits her children in Connecticut and Illinois.
