I'm a married teacher. I discovered Flickr and it really piqued my interest in photography. I am in no means a professional! But Flickr lets me share photos that I think are "thought provoking". I would love to hear your comments.

 

My in-laws asked me why I like to take pictures of abandoned places. It's not because I like "decay" or anything. When I see an abandoned place, I think about what it once looked like...that it once was a place that served a purpose...someone's dream house, or business, or school. That is why I like to take pictures of abandoned places.

 

I take pictures of playgrounds since they seem to be a dwindling concept. We're too afraid of being sued these days that you hardly seey merry-go-rounds, swings, and even slides! Then we wonder why our kids are so overweight!

 

My family/nature/humor file contains images from those areas. OK the truth...Flickr only lets you have three albums!
