I'm a very busy full-time Mom to Owen (12) and Julianna (10), full-time wife to my wonderful hubby of 13 years, Peter and a full-time Office/Accounting Manager for an Advertising/Marketing company in Bedford, NH. And I love all three!!

Did I mention that I sew, quilt, cross stitch, tat, crochet and knit (at least I try those last two!). I learned to cross stitch when I was 8 years old from Carol Henderson - our wonderful neighbor in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. That truly started my crafting passion. I learned to sew garments at a young age and in college I attempted quilted (TOTAL FAILURE!). In 1995 I started taking hand piecing and hand quilting classes with June Lake in Bedford, NH (I worked with her husband) thus began my love of quilting and fiber! Once my son was born in 2000 I had to move to machine quilting as I didn't have enough time any longer. In 2009 I decided I wanted to learn how to tat (not really sure why) so I got some thread, a shuttle and YouTube! I love the tatting because it is so portable and the projects can be quickly done. This week I'm starting lessons on knitting socks and I can't wait!!

Lately I've been working more with modern fabrics and less traditional/calico fabrics and I'm loving it!!! My favorites include:

- Amy Butler

- Kate Spain - 12-days of Christmas, Terrain and Good Fortune

- Tula Pink - Prince Charming and Neptune

- Riley Blake

- Anything linen - especially colors

- Gray (it's my new black)

I love bright primary colors. I don't like browns or muddy colors. And doesn't gray go with everything lately??? I don't like birds or owls or anything along those lines. I'm more into geometric shapes - like Hexagons! I've decided that I must stop buying fabrics or my hubby may have my head!!
