Rod and Nancy developed a very keen interest in photography when they went to Florida in January of 2008, specifically, the Everglades! At the time we were using a Panasonic DMC-FZ8 and although we captured some great shots, we quickly discovered we wanted to move to DSLR. Rod purchased his D300 when we got home, and Nancy purchased her D80 prior to our Alaska trip (June 2008). Rod and Nancy both later replaced each camera with a D90. We plan to go back one day to the Everglades and get the photos we couldn't get before. We are retired and photography is a great hobby!

Rod has a son (in Colorado) and daughter (in Arizona). Nancy has two sons (one in Nebraska and youngest in Texas). We have a cat named Sara Lee and a dog named Buddy.

Rocky Mountain National Park is in our back yard, so it's a great place to put the cameras to good use.

We prefer the natural look, so normally the only post processing we do is cropping and maybe a quick fix in Picnik. Other than that, no Photoshop.

We really enjoy Flickr and the opportunity to network with a lot of great people from all over the world that have a love for the same things as us.

Although I've never met Rod and Nancy in person they have proven to be wonderful flickr friends. Their supportive and encouraging words brighten my day and their sense of humor makes me laugh. Looking through their photo stream I am in awe and only hope that one day I can capture some of the wonderful beauties of the world in the way that they have. I'm so happy to have "met" them here and look forward to more brilliant photography from them in the future.
