Read more

Note the rare black and white that I think are very beautiful.

Even when I was aware of the geographical situation, and historical background of Blaby, in Leicestershire, England, in the heart of the East Midlands, I never imagined it was home to an extraordinary photographer. His name: Patrick Dalton. Pat for the friends. I arrived to his gallery by chance, as all the good things happen. You check somebody else’s gallery, go surfing the sea of icons and galleries paving the place. Suddenly you discover a nice picture, and then another, and another. All by the same photographer! That’s was what happened when I “discovered” Pat’s photos of England’s green fields, full of wild flowers and old fences, of bucolic rural roads and immense skies. They took me directly to Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland! Now I am glad to call him friend, and feel lucky for been able to enjoy his view of that magnificent part of the world beautifully, and expertly, captured by Pat’s camera. All this said, I have to make a confession. I wasn’t aware of the geographical situation, and historical background of Blaby, in Leicestershire, England, in the heart of the East Midlands, LOL. But now I am…….All the rest is rigorously true…… Warm regards from Mexico, Pat!

When I started using start flickr, I entered timidly in the galleries of everyone and started to make commentaries and later saw feeback about my work. You start getting to know people from different countries and little by little you get to make friends until you reach the point, that on some occasions, you even make them part of your family and this means the start of an important relationship. This is what happened in my case with Mr. Patrick Dalton. It was for me an honour to receive commentaries from this great master of photography and I became enchanted with his photographs of beautiful landscapes with impressive skies and a good mastery of enhancement techniques. From here I wish to publicly thank a man of great kindness and humanity. The only regret I have is the distance as I would love to sit in front of you (him) and have a long conversation. With much appreciation......Juan Salvador
