Photography is a subject practiced by many, to manifest one's internal sense of artistry. What happens in the process is, a photo becomes just not an image, capturing a moment, but a piece of artwork, that somebody would like to place in his living room. Monkey6880's camera literally does that. His sense of using natural light on his subjects (as opposed to studio lights) is awesome. The tonal balance that he builds on his image reminds me of some of the famous works of William-Adolphe Bouguereau. The best part of this is, every-time his posts something, he inspires. I tend to learn from him, the finer nuances of what is known as an "effective photographic treatment" Its an honor to have him as a flickr friend.

What is beauty? There is the dictionary definition, then there's the practical. The difficulty in defining beauty is the nearly limitless reactions of those that are trying to define it. What is beautiful to one will not strike another in the same way. To me, a worthy definition of beauty can be found in the photographs of Monkey6880's photographs. They are variable in content, landscapes, closeups, and nudes, but they are all well done and pleasing to the eye. They come through a camera held by a talented photographer. I would especially like to address the nudes. There are hundreds of thousands of nudes on Flickr but few are of such consistently discriminating quality as those of Monkey6880. His model is a beautiful woman, and his photographic treatment of her is always of the highest quality, never prurient or salacious. His photos of her are reflective of the human body at its greatest, free, natural, and unashamed in its sexuality; an integral part of the natural world as well as the created . It is so wonderfully refreshing to see such an open and free attitude. I look forward to postings by this couple as I know that each time they post something new I'll be seeing another wonderful picture.
