Caroline Sury, née en 1964 à Laval est auteur de bande dessinée.

Elle est diplômée de l'école des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux en 1989. Elle a fait partie des candidats sélectionnés en 1991 par la Fondation Jean-Claude Reynal. Depuis 1993, elle fait partie avec son compagnon Pakito Bolino du Dernier cri, un éditeur associatif marseillais.

Elle apparaît au sommaire de revues telles que Lapin, Stronx, Strapazin, La monstrueuse et Ferraille. Elle participe au Comix 2000 et a publié une illustration dans chaque numéro de Marseille l'Hebdo, le supplément week-end de La Provence depuis l'origine de ce titre jusqu'à la refonte de sa maquette en 2006. On peut voir une fresque d'elle à Paris au bar "Le Soleil", boulevard du Ménilmontant.

Caroline Sury, is a graphic artist/illustrator, comics creator and musician, she runs the underground publishing house "Le Dernier Cri" together with her partner Pakito Bolino in Marseille. They produce wildly beautiful silk-screened publications (books and posters, as well as the magazine Hôpital Brut) and hard-core animated films filled with artwork by various known and unknown art brut/visionary artists (Caroline also contributed the sculptured puppet animation in their films). Caroline studied fine arts in Bordeaux. In the early nineties, she made several silk-screened portfolios, including Dog Time, Scènes d'un Cirque and Bête Verte. She worked on a number of "comics travel-notebooks", such as 'Le stylo a strip-tease' and 'Holidays in Blooby land'. With the work Frida Gastro, an account of Caroline's gastrointestinal infection in all its horrific detail, she began exploring the autobiographical genre.

In the series 'Caroline et ses amis', she is telling her life story and portraying her friends; in the installment Cupidon Vinaigre, for instance, she assembles silk-screened portraits of love partners from the international comics community. Recently she began a new girls-only series called 'Vagina Mushroom', where she edits comic strips and illustrations by female artists (two issues have already been published and she is looking for new contributions!). Apart from releasing pieces with her own publishing house, Caroline Sury also draws regularly for L'Association, Strapazin, Libération, Le Monde, Beaux-Arts, and the New York Press. Her book 'Couscous Sardine', published in 2001, is a collection of watercolour illustrations about life in Marseilles that originally appeared in the Marseilles newspaper L'Hedbo.
