My hobbies fall under photography, painting (portraits), and family history. My camera gear is in the Nikon world. I use a D70. The 17-55 has become my primary lens (but many others also). Woodworking is a lot of fun also. I have a weakness for antique maps (Quebec, Germany, Sweden, Austrio-Hungarian Empire, and Ireland). I've collected about a thousand old family photos. These have largely been collated into books. I've needed to learn photo restoration because of this. I always see faults in my portrait photography, so photo retouching has become an off shoot of restoration.
