“Thou who has given me eyes to see and love this sight so fair, give me a heart to find out Thee and read Thee everywhere.” I found this inscription on a stone bench on Orrest Head, above Windermere. It's by John Keble and fits my own aspirations. (There's also a plaque in the wall nearby, with the same words.)

I am a Christian and I love to capture images of God's wonderful creation to share with others. My aim, hopefully “To delight and inspire.”

I came to a personal saving faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour when I was 36, after many years of wanderings, discovering the truth of this verse for myself:- “I am the way, the truth and the life, no-one comes to the Father but by me” John 14:6

Situated in the North West of England.

I took my first photographs in 1969, at age 14, on an old Voigtlander 120 folding camera, and processed and printed the results myself. I haven't looked back since. In 1977, after a degree in Botany, I took up audio-visual photography professionally, but then, in 1989, I came down with ME/CFS and that put payed to all that!

Now, as then, landscape photography is the hobby but now mainly restricted to the countryside of N W England.

From Film cameras, (35mm and 6x4.5cm), I changed to my first Digital (Canon) in Oct 2007. I now shoot mainly Sony A7 series Full Frame cameras.

Since 2018, I use a Sony A7RII, with Zeiss Batis and Sony lenses.
