Describe myself? Silly! Besides that, I appreciate the beauty of nature such as birds, butterflies, flowers, and (well-behaved) children. I've always been interested in insects. I used to get in trouble when I was 3 or 4 for keeping beetles and moths in my pockets. I dabble in entomology and very amateur photography. I like photographing kids, especially candid shots to avoid the cheesy smiles! If you have kids, MAKE time to play with them because if you blink, they grow up and are gone! I like warm climates (why am I here?) and traveling. I am really liking my Canon SX60HS. I'm fortunate to have a wonderful wife who shares many of my interests (she's a much better photographer!) and most importantly, she puts up with me! :-)

I've always been a collector (read: Packrat!) and have in the past have amassed fairly large collections insects, un-opened vintage bandages, wooden matches (there were quite a few different ones!), frog replicas, helicopter cloth emblems/patches, etc., etc, etc.! Got started painting my wife's nails a few years ago and some of the neighbor girl's nails as a hobby. Bad idea! I've now painted over 500 sets (See? I'm collecting again!) and we have around 175 different colors of polish including UV gel polish. Wonder what will be next?
