Fifth generation native Californian, moved to Michigan in 2009! Born and spent most of my life in the Central Valley(Oakdale/Modesto)...except for 20 years in San Francisco.

My roots are mostly English and Welsh...my grandparents names were Talbot and Corbett.

Nature is my true love and....

This describes how I feel when I am enjoying or exploring in NATURE or MAKING ART...something I wrote...

I AM....I AM THAT....:) But below is my ''story''...:)

I make no claim to being a good photographer. But I am a lover of nature. I especially love trees, flowers, birds, fungi, ferns, bodies of water, animals, skies, and well, you get the idea. Therefore I LOVE to look at and appreciate everyone's great photos and ARTWORK here at Flickr.

MY ARTWORK IS MY HEARTWORK.....:)

I like to paint and draw in several mediums, including pen and ink, watercolor, pencils etc. Some of MY ARTWORK is posted here at Flickr. I also like to write poetry, including Haiku, and songs...and anything else I feel like writing...:) Have worked as a freelance writer.

I am interested in many forms and styles of music...was a former singer...and music courses through my blood....:) My son is a musician contracted with an Opera company, pianist and keyboardist, composer, music teacher, and vocal coach.

Food and cooking, collecting cookbooks and recipes is also a passion.

I am blessed with wonderful grown children and am retired. (And a new granddaughter with photos here on Flicker) Her mother is a 'daughter and angel' type...:), who is a Marketing Directer for a large fortune 500 company. She is a brilliant and creative writer.

Yes, I am very proud of my children!..:)

Right after retirement I lived a year in Sierra Vista, Arizona which I LOVED...I loved a lot about that area of Arizona, but the heat was too much for me, and I missed the ocean and GREEN...:)

Then I lived for 5 years on the Oregon coast, in Florence, where it was cool and green and beautiful.

I moved to southern California in North San Diego county, not far from the ocean near Carlsbad, in San Marcos, in June of 2008.

In MAY of 2009 I am now living in the beautiful Cascade area of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I am a 5th generation, native Californian, born in the central valley in Northern Ca. but spent 20 years in San Francisco which still 'feels' to me like my hometown, even though the last 20 years where owned my own business and retired from was in Modesto, Ca.

I smile most of the time and think life should be fun...and the most important thing I do is to FEEL GOOD! I LOVE TO LAUGH...!

These days I 'feel good most' when I am drawing and painting...:)...Or out and about among the trees and flowers, or near the ocean and lakes, rivers, beaches and dunes.

Life is beautiful! MOSTLY WHEN I AM FOLLOWING MY HEART PATH. DOING WHAT IS BEST FOR ME....:)
