I grew up playing with Lego since minifigs didn't have arms. As I grew I moved onto Expert Builder (now Technic) sets and then got out of it for a while (computers, video games and girls took over my free time).
Now I'm an AFOL. I've started collecting sets again, mostly town(Large buildings), (Original) Star Wars, Indiana Jones, but some other random stuff. I also still get the odd Technic/Power Functions/Mindstorms set. I hate the Bionicle, Ninjago, Hero Factor and Chima sets.
I've really been on a kick to do LEGO versions of Doctor Who. I don't like the 'Official' Doctor Who Building sets (Cheap Lego Ripoffs!), so I made my own minifigs using (mostly) standard parts. And I've been making scale versions of Daleks and K9 that are power-functions enabled.
Any helpful suggestions or techniques would be appreciated.
