I bought my first digital SLR in 2008 and began taking photographs. I love taking photos and love being on Flickr for its unending stream of amazing images, creativity and skill on show, and for its learning and training. But what I love best about Flickr are the amazing people I have met online and in their home towns, who have invited me to join them on photo walkabouts when I have visited.

In Jan 2013 my DSLR broke while I was traveling, so I was forced to learn to shoot with my newly acquired Samsung Galaxy SIII. I liked it so much that I shot with it for much of the year and this has had a huge impact on how I now approach and practice photography.
